Recommended Guidelines
Spend 7-8 Minutes In Each Section to complete 1 hour of Prayer

One Hour of Prayer: Section
1: Name your sins & ask for God to forgive you (7-8 minutes) Begin your prayer time by humbling yourself before God and confessing your sins. Acknowledge your mistakes, shortcomings, and areas where you have fallen short of God's standards. Ask for His forgiveness and cleansing.
Section 2: Praise God! Brag on Him (7-8 minutes) Shift your focus from your sins to praising and worshiping God. Take time to exalt Him for His greatness, faithfulness, love, and mercy. Express your gratitude for His blessings in your life and acknowledge His sovereignty over all things.
Section 3: Read your Bible. What's God saying? (7-8 minutes) Open your Bible and read a passage or chapter that speaks to you. Allow God's Word to penetrate your heart and mind. Reflect on its meaning, seek understanding, and listen for any specific messages or instructions God may be speaking to you through the scripture.
Section 4: Pray for others, government officials (7-8 minutes) Intercede for the needs and concerns of others, both close to you and those in positions of authority. Lift up your family, friends, neighbors, and community. Pray for wisdom and guidance for government officials, that they may lead with integrity and make decisions that align with God's will.
Section 5: Pray for yourself & your family (7-8 minutes) Focus on your personal needs, desires, and challenges. Pray for strength, guidance, and provision for yourself and your loved ones. Lift up any specific concerns or burdens you may be carrying, trusting that God hears and cares for you.
Section 6: Sing or give praise to God (7-8 minutes) Engage in worship through singing or speaking praises to God. Use songs or words that exalt His name and proclaim His goodness. Let your voice be an instrument of worship, expressing your love and adoration for Him.
Section 7: Thank God for individual things (7-8 minutes) Take time to thank God for the specific blessings and answered prayers in your life. Express gratitude for His provision, protection, guidance, and the ways He has shown His love and faithfulness to you personally.
Section 8: Spend a few minutes on scripture memory (7-8 minutes) Choose a verse or passage of scripture to commit to memory. Repeat it aloud several times, meditate on its meaning, and ask God to help you apply it to your life. Scripture memory helps to deepen your understanding of God's Word and allows you to carry it with you throughout your day.
Section 9: Read a Proverb a day (7-8 minutes) Finish your prayer time by reading a Proverb from the book of Proverbs. Proverbs contain practical wisdom and guidance for everyday life. Reflect on the lessons and principles found within and seek to apply them to your own life.
Remember, these time allocations are just suggestions to help structure your prayer time. Feel free to adjust the length of each section based on your personal preference and the leading of the Holy Spirit. The most important thing is to spend dedicated time in prayer and communion with God.
